Wedding FAQ

wed-faqHow many images can I expect to see as previews and how long will it take?
We’ll shoot an unlimited amount of images throughout the day. Taking some time to experiment and take chances to get unique imagery, so a full day’s work can easily be 500+ previews. Generally your previews will be available within a few weeks.

Can I get the negatives (i.e. high resolution images)?
A DVD of your high-resolution images (digital negatives) can be added to any package.

Do you provide proofs?
In an attempt to create less paper and chemical waste all proofing is done through the previews in your on-line album. If you desire physical proofs this option is available at an additional cost, which is determined by the number images that were produced.

Do you have backup equipment?
We always have two to three high-resolution camera bodies, several high quality lenses and a variety of lights. We have never had to stop photographing due to equipment malfunction.

How many photographers are going to be documenting our wedding day?
There are always two photographers to ensure all aspects of your day are documented.

How do you pose couples and groups?
Very little posing of the couple and group portraits, more like directing. The goal is to relax and have fun!

Do you allow friends and family to photograph or videotape during the wedding?
As long as they respect our duties as paid professionals, we don’t mind at all.

Will you be able to stay longer than the contract if we want more coverage?
We never book in other events on a wedding day. We are dedicated to you the whole day if you need us. You will be billed for the hourly rate past the contract which will be due before you see your previews.

Do you charge extra for retouching?
Whether it’s fixing a blemish or creating an artistic feel, we don’t charge extra. You can expect master crafted color, b&w and sepia images in addition to other style requests like: infrared, x-process, watercolor and mixed color and b&w images. The possibilities are endless.

Do you scout locations in advance for the best places for portraits?
We do take the time to ensure that we have the best locations. Natural light is the best light source for any photography and we will try to obtain when at all possible.

What is your deposit and payment policy?
A deposit of at least a 1/3 of the projected contract total is due when booking. The remaining balance will be due two weeks before the wedding date.
